What are book snobs you may ask? A book snob is a person that looks down on a person’s choice of reading material. A prime example of a book series that gets a lot of controversy is the Fifty Shades books. A lot of “real” readers like to call these books trash with no real substance and badly written. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I actually really enjoyed these books. These books made me feel things I had never felt before while reading a book if you get my drift *wink wink*. Those books made me feel naughty while reading them and so I got an enjoyable experience out of them, which is what reading is about. Reading is about escaping reality and going through an experience, and the Fifty Shades books did that for me. Honestly, I don’t remember too much of her writing style so I can’t comment on whether or not the books were poorly written I just know that as a “serious” reader I thoroughly enjoyed them. I don’t mind reading classics but I also don’t mind reading “smut” once in a while. We can’t be serious all of the time. So I say to whatever your reading preference allow people to enjoy what they enjoy. To each their own!
